Let's Grow

A project to understand how best to support parents with play and sleep in the toddler years

About the Let’s Grow research study

Helping parents of toddlers learn skills and strategies to support healthy happy children

Being a parent of a toddler can be a daunting task! We can all use a little extra help sometimes. This research study aims to understand whether a program available through your mobile phone is useful for parents.

Designed for parents, by a team of experts and parents

Let’s Grow has been designed by experts from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Sweden, with input from parents themselves into what they want and how best to deliver it. The study is led by a team at the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN), Deakin University.

Group 1

Will be given access to an app to trial for 1 year. The app provides information and strategies designed to support parents of toddlers with their child’s sleep, screen time and play. It also sends text messages to help you along the way.

Group 2

Will receive our regular Toddler Tips across the year, with information on important child health issues. This is designed to support parents in a more traditional way with their toddler’s health and development.

Thank you for your interest in Let’s Grow. Recruitment is now closed, however, if you would like to participate in current research programs please visit the Institute of Physical Activity and Nutrition at Deakin University.

The Let’s Grow app and Let’s Grow Toddler Tips have been created by experts in parenting, child behaviour and child health.
